The EU copyright reform around the ancillary copyright and its well-known, upload filter has been ghosting for many months, like a monster through the Internet causes a lot of stir, but you could have believed just a few weeks ago, that this issue is again away from the table. But that was a misconception, because on late Wednesday evening, the draft was then adopted, which must now only be confirmed by all parties involved. Should it come to that, that all agree to this draft, this will most likely have fatal consequences for YouTube – as YouTube already claimed a few weeks ago.
The first demonstration, against the censorship machine took place in Cologne. On March 23, more demonstrations are planned. The hashtag: ″niemehrcdu” and ″savetheinternet” seems to be currently, in the trends, but rightly so! – first the CDU was not at all for censorship, but now the tide had turned. The question is now, so shortly before the EU elections, whom one should choose. The all voters who are for this Article 13, finally make themselves unpopular.
But we find it very surprising that the media hardly report on the subject. We think that public media hardly report about it, because you see their advantage in it and you can use for themselves the Internet to spread propaganda videos.
